What role do I need to be in a family trust to be able to use cash to sit in my mortgage off-set account?

family trust
Luke asked:

If I have cash in a family trust and I want to sit this temporarily in my mortgage off-set account to save interest, then put it back, do I need to be a beneficiary or trustee or does it matter?
But it’s a temporarily interest free loan so I’m not taking the money

  1. Not I

For the beneficiaries and the trust.
