family trust
superwoman asked:

Why do i feel like sometimes my family don’t want to see me move on or be happy. I’m in a relationship with this guy who’s not the same nationality as I am. He’s very cute, tall and he treats me great. I am in a healthy relationship with this guy whom I can be open with. My mom seems to not trust him very much. I don’t know why. He hasn’t done anything to them to show that he can’t be trusted. I really want this relationship to work but I also care about my family and want them to make me feel secure instead of insecure about my relationship with him. Sometimes I feel like there’s people who are jealous of me. Is that normal? Even if they are family? Wouldn’t they want you to be happy too… I

Because some family members are stubborn and opinionated. Some only see what they want to see, and its their way or no way. Some have ideas of what others should be doing, without practicing what they preach. Some are close minded and feel better if they make you feel bad. Some are immature even though they are over 50! Some are missing something in their lives so they try to live through yours, “this is what I would do” etc. Because families are weird when they’re yours!
