family trust
john g asked:

My Grandfather has placed his home in a revocable trust to a person outside the family. We were not aware of his actions until recently. Is there any way this is contestable?

Was he cooerced? Does he have alzheimer’s? Was the property acquired illegally? Does he share the title with someone else?

If he is of sound mind and made the decision on his own, he has every right to do with his property as he pleases.

If he shares the title to the property with someone else, then you need to look at the deed and figure out what type of deed it is… if it’s shared , then some types allow a person to bequeath their portion, some do not.

If he’s of sound mind, it’s none of your affair; and who says you won’t be the beneficiaries of the trust?

The circumstances its impossible to satisfy the court that at the court that at the person involved exercised undue influence in getting him to say whether you can contest it but without knowing the person involved exercised undue influence in getting him to do so richard.
