I am a designated beneficiary in a family members trust. The amount in the trust is $2,000,000.
When I receive my inheritance, along with the ohters mentioned in the trust, will I have to pay any taxes on that inheritance? Or will I receive the entire percentage designated to me without any taxation.
Thanks

So, I suppose I’ll just start from the beginning.
The other day my sister and I got into a fairly small disagreement. Even though we were both angry at the time, I’m sure it would have blown over in a few days. The only problem is, later that night I heard my father and sister talking in the other room, with my sister telling him all about my boyfriend’s criminal record, which she knew about but he had no idea. My parents have never met my boyfriend before, and I couldn’t believe she would intentionally ruin the potential relationship between them. It’s not like she was trying to be caring and was telling him out of concern, she just wanted to make me look bad because my father and I sometimes don’t get along. When my boyfriend gets out of prison in a few months, I am moving out of this house but at the moment, it’s almost unbearable. I really don’t know how to deal with this anger. She isn’t sorry, and we haven’t spoken in a couple of weeks. What do I do?

I have a 3 yr old daughter, and a 6 month old son. Besides me, my husband, and my mom, I don’t FULLY trust anyone to care for my kids. I don’t feel other family and friends will do wrong to them, but it still makes me a tad uneasy. People often offer to watch them so my hubby and I can go on a much needed date, but I never do unless its my mom. How do y’all feel about this?

Long story….My church is splitting. The pastor is being accused of stealing money from a very ill women who had his name is her will. He started spending the money before she died and the church is mad. I am not taking sides and staying out of it. I feel it is childish to take sides and not forgive. People are threatening to leave the church if the pastor does not apologize and admit his wrong doing. What would you do? It’s just like high school drama…no worse…church should be a place focues on God. Ours is focused on blame and money..

If most beneficiaries agree, can the trustee/appointer of the family trust be overthrown? He is also the donor but he is not acting in the benefit of the family. thanks =)
edit: cheers for the response. would my husband leaving me for another woman and trying to sell everyhting in our family trust count as reason to overthrow the trustee ( husband)? thanks

i know someone, wont go into too much detail abbout who she is, u can say shes in the family…well, since finding out that i was pregnant, she has now announnced that she is too. and trust me, i know she wasnt concerned about ttc another baby until she found out about me. shes always been an attention seeker. has this happend to u, and how did u deal with it. to me its childish that she has to be #1 with everything. whats your opinion?
