Okay first of all my name is Nessie and I’m 16-years-old. Last summer I got into a car accident and since then my parents don’t trust me. I had gone to a party with some friends and on our way home we got hit by a drunk driver… the problem is I had snuck out in order to go to that party. I was 15 then, but I didn’t assume that such an incident would be affecting me right now. I ended up with a broken arm and concussion and I understand why my parents worry but I think their being to strict and when I try talking to them they don’t listen.
I am blamed for everything, and I have no trust. This past weekend i went to a party and my parents found out their were drugs there and grounded me even though I didn’t do anything. They blamed me without and explanation. Another example is that I came in ten minutes past curfew because of traffic and they grounded me for 2 weeks! They took my phone! Im just frustrated… my grades are fine… schools fine…. but they aren’t.

I mean I’ve never had a boyfriend and I’m not desperate for one and I know what my priorities are and what I want to do in life. I know what the bad decisions are and who are the good people I should follow. Today I was hanging out with my 2 best friends who are girls and we’re sitting on some random stoop talking about guys we like. Then from a distance I see my grandmother and she’s coming my way. When she gets to us 4 random boys appear out of nowhere at the worst timing possible and I’m about to cry. She’s like screaming and the guys are laughing and my friends look embarrassed. I call my mom and drag my grandma around the corner and my friends tell me that one of the guys tried to make the situation better and was saying, “Oh it’s cool, it happens to me all the time except my mom pops out with her slipper chasing me,” And then they started talking about my other good friend’s ****. She’s so embarrassing and this really cute one who’s my age was there! Then they leave and my mom drives up and takes me home. I was so embarrassed I started crying! I **** this, they don’t trust me. Like what do they expect I’m going to do? They should know I’m smarter than that!
Gosh, any advice, or tell me some grandparents stories to make me feel better, please? The one that makes me most smile gets 10 points on the spot.
