family trust
marla g asked:

I’m currently going thru a divorce and moved out of state. I came here to be closer to my family. I moved in with a roommate paying $340 a month. So, I have this aunt that I’m really close to. Right now she is going thru a lot of problems (boyfriend was a drug addict, she is pregnant with twins, he abandoned her and she has no job because the doctor put her in bed rest) So I moved out of my roommate’s to her apartment and I’m currently paying all the bills. So she does watch my son while I’m at work, but she has a real bad attitude all the time and she does not want to help with anything else. I’ve tried from talking to her to yelling, to telling her that I’m leaving but she would not change the attitude and I just feel she is using me. I pay for everything in that house the least she can do is watch my son if I want to do something or cook. She does not want to help with anything and I don’t want to leave her in her situation but I don’t see any other way out.

I do not expect her to watch him all the time and I KNOW HE IS MY SON. But if I am paying all of her bills she should be greatful that someone helped her out. She put herself in that situation, (when I had pronlems with my husband no one helped me, I had to do it my self) so the least she could is bee greatful that someone is paying from the food she eats to her car to her cellphone

I seem to have problems opening myself up to close friends or family members. How can you be sure that you can trust someone even if you are pretty sure that you can? I can share some things with some of these people, but I don’t think that I can share everything with them. How can you start to open up more with the people you love if you have been hurt so much in the past that you don’t know if you can trust these people even though they have not done anything to you?
